KONIUK Alexander Vladimirovich

Koniuk Alexander Vladimirovich was born 11 July 1960 in the city of Grodno.
He graduated from the Belarusian State University with a degree in “Jurisprudence” in 1982.

Between 1982 and 1984, he was the commander of a motorized infantry platoon with the 3rd Guards Tank Regiment of the 3rd Guards Tank Division within the 7th Tank Army in the Belarusian Military District.

Since 1984, A.V.Koniuk occupied various posts at courts-martial in Moscow, Leninsk of Kzyl-Orda Province in Kazakhstan and the Turkestan Military District in the city of Kabul (Afghanistan). Since 1987, he served as a member of the Minsk Garrison Court-Martial.

He was appointed a judge of the Belarusian Military Court in 1993 and went on to become a judge and the President of the Minsk Inter-Garrison Military Court in 1997. Since 2006, A.V.Koniuk worked as a judge and the President of the Belarusian Military Court.

Since 2009, he was Deputy-President – President of the Military Panel of the Belarusian Supreme Court.

A.V.Koniuk was appointed the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus and promoted to the rank of State Councillor of Justice 2nd class by the Decree of the
President of the Republic of Belarus dd. 20 September 2011.

In compliance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus dd. 7 May 2015 No. 205 A.V.Koniuk was given the rank of State Counsellor of Justice 1st class. 

He was awarded the Order “For Service to the Homeland in the Armed Forces of the USSR” 3rd Class and 9 medals.
