The Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Konyuk held a working meeting with the Chief Prosecutor of Georgia Irakli Shotadze

A working meeting between the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Konyuk and the delegation of the Office of the Chief Prosecutor of Georgia headed by the Chief Prosecutor of Georgia Irakli Shotadze took place in the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Belarus on 16 August, 2017.

The Belarusian party was represented by Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus Aleksei Stuk, Prosecutor for Minsk Region Oleg Lavrukhin, heads of structural subdivisions of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Belarus. 

The Georgian delegation comprised First Deputy Chief Prosecutor of Georgia Mamuka Vasadze, Regional Prosecutor for Kakheti Vazha Panozishvili, Head of Economic Department of the Office of the Chief Prosecutor of Georgia Merab Murguliya. 

In the course of the meeting the parties discussed the issues of reinforcement of cooperation in the domain of countering crime and corruption, supervisory activity  of the prosecution bodies in the sphere of economy, ensuring protection of the rights of citizens and legal persons; the participants also exchanged their opinions as of other aspects of prosecutorial activity. 

The working meeting between the leadership of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Belarus and the delegation of the Office of the Chief Prosecutor of Georgia will promote further development of cooperation between the supervisory agencies of the two states.
